Stephen DeRosa has held various engineering roles over the past five years. In 2020, they were a Software Engineer and AV Simulation Software Test Engineer for Outrider. In 2019, they were a Robotics Simulation Engineer for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they worked with a small team to develop and distribute dockerized Gazebo simulations for the Space Robotics Challenge Phase 2, and developed a simulation model for the 2023 VIPER Lunar Rover.
