Alexandra Uzárraga

Ale Uzarraga is a seasoned media educator and teaching artist with extensive experience in facilitating workshops that empower youth through photography and the arts. Currently serving as a Media Educator at Outside the Lens since December 2022, Uzarraga leads programs that help young people explore their identities and develop critical life skills. In parallel, Uzarraga contributes as a Mentor and Leadership Coach at RISE San Diego and has held various teaching artist positions, including roles at Pedacito de Cielo, Arts Education Connection San Diego, and San Diego Opera, focusing on art therapy and community engagement. Uzarraga's educational background includes multiple diplomas in education and therapy, alongside a degree in Photography, reflecting a strong commitment to fostering personal and social transformation through creative means.
