Michael Owens

Michael Owens has extensive work experience in the information technology field. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer at Ovation Healthcare since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Infrastructure Architect at QHR Health from 2022 to 2023. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Market CIO for UP Health System at LifePoint Health. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Sr. Director of Enterprise Architecture at LifePoint Hospitals, Senior Consultant at Ingenuity Associates, and Principal Consultant at British Telecom (BT). Michael has also worked at Lucent, Banyan Systems Inc, Compaq Computer Corp, and Nike in varying roles related to technology and networking.

Michael Owens earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business-IT Management from Western Governors University in 2021. Michael then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the same university, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) from CHIME in 2022.
