Staff Engineer, Battery Systems at Overair

Andrej Kalmar has a long history of work experience in various engineering roles. Andrej began their career in 2000 as an Operations Engineering Specialist at Celestica, where they designed an LCD LVDS tester and analyzed display optical mura effect. Andrej then moved on to Hewlett-Packard as a SWD Product Engineer in 2010, followed by Process Engineer at Teleplan, Prague in 2009. In 2011, they returned to Celestica as a Test & Process Development Engineer, where they developed display repair techniques and processes and characterized and created repair procedure for smartphones. In 2016, they became Lead Industrialisation Engineer at Thales, where they directed a lithium battery project. In 2019, they joined Safran as a Project Engineer, responsible for A220 (AIRBUS) sustaining engineering activities and change management. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Overair as a Staff Engineer, Battery Systems and Senior Electromechanical Engineer.

Andrej Kalmar has a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague. Andrej also has several certifications, including High Voltage Vehicle Safety Systems from SAE International (obtained in October 2019), Certified 6 Sigma Green Belt from Chaffey College Workforce Training Institute (obtained in September 2012), Unigraf Video System from Unigraf (obtained in February 2008), Basics of LabView 8 from National Instruments (obtained in May 2004), 3G UMTS Network & Node B Base Station System from Lucent Technologies Bell Labs (obtained in February 2003), and GSM System & Test from Sagem (obtained in February 2001).
