Sheng Wei (Jonny) Tsai has worked in the aerospace industry since 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Flight Path Design Project Engineer at Naverus, Inc. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Autopilot Control Systems Engineer at Helitrak Inc. From 2010 to 2012, they were an Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) Control Design Engineer at Honda Aircraft Company. From 2012 to 2021, they were a 777x Primary Flight Control Laws Engineer, a New Midsize Airplane (NMA) Product Development Flight Control Laws Engineer, and a 787 Primary Flight Control Laws Engineer at Boeing. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Team Member at Beta Technologies. Currently, they are a Manager of Flight Dynamics & Control Laws and a Sr. Flight Control Laws Engineer at Overair.

Sheng Wei (Jonny) Tsai obtained a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university in 2005. Additionally, they hold a Private Aircraft Student Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
