Elizabeth Orton has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Elizabeth started their career as a Consultant at Cap Gemini in 1994 and worked there until 2000. Elizabeth then joined the Coors Brewing Company as an HR Training Manager and stayed there until 2006. Following that, they worked at Encana as a Learning and Development Lead from 2006 to 2012. Currently, they hold the position of Manager, HR Advisory COO at Ovintiv since 2022.

Elizabeth Orton earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing from Texas Tech University.
