Sean Urvan

Sean Urvan is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) law, regulatory affairs, and corporate legal support. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Ovintiv since August 2021, Sean leads a team providing legal expertise across multiple sectors, including EHS/Regulatory, Midstream/Marketing, Surface Land, Supply Chain Management, and Governmental Policy and Advocacy. Previous roles include Assistant General Counsel at Covia, Lead ESH Legal Counsel at ONEOK, and Managing Senior Counsel at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Sean's legal career began as an Associate at Roetzel & Andress and includes significant contributions to Caterpillar Inc. Sean holds an LLM in Energy and Environmental Law from the University of Houston Law Center, a JD from the University of Akron School of Law, and a BS from Kent State University.
