VP, Safety & Risk Management at Owens Realty Services

Michael Rivera is the current VP of Safety and Risk Management at Owens Realty Services. Prior to that, they worked as a Safety Consultant for Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom Park. There, they were responsible for food and beverage safety for 5 main restaurants and 40 small concessions. Michael also oversaw the safety for the park merchandising division, which included 5 main stores and 36 small concessions. In their previous positions, Rivera has also served as a Senior Consultant/Owner of INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AND SAFETY CONSULTANTS. INC and as the VPA of Safety and Security at Metropolitan University and SUAGM.

Michael Rivera has a Master's degree in Security Management from the University of New Hampshire. Michael also has a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management and Supervision from the University of New Hampshire. In addition, they have a Bachelor in Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Universidad Central de Bayamón. Michael is certified by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council as GBAC certified for SARS-Co V-2. Michael is also certified by Harvard University in Certification on Contract Law. Furthermore, they are certified by Pryor Learning Solutions | Fred Pryor Seminars | CareerTrack in Certification on Human Resources. In addition, they are licensed by the Florida Dept Of Agriculture as a License Security Manager. Michael is also certified by the OSHA Safety Training Institute in OSHA 30-Hour. Furthermore, they are certified by the OSHA Safety Training Institute in OSHA 500 and OSHA 510. In addition, they are certified by Nine Lives Associates as a Personal Protection Specialist (EPI, PPS). Lastly, they are certified by the Florida Dept Of Agriculture as a Private Investigator.
