Shirley Sun

Shirley Sun has extensive work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Shirley currently holds the position of Director of Software Engineering at Owl Labs since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Uber as a Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2021, where they led the definition of roadmap for Maps ProdEng and completed the LEAD@Uber training program. Before Uber, Shirley worked at Guidewire Software as a Senior Software Engineer from 2015 to 2017, and at Progressive Insurance as a Senior IT Apps Programmer from 2003 to 2015.

Shirley Sun received their Master of Computer Science degree from Ohio University, where they studied Computer Science from 1999 to 2003. During the same time period, they also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental Studies from Ohio University. In 2018, Shirley attended Harvard Business School Executive Education, focusing on Leadership and Strategy.
