Laine Clark-Balzan

Laine Clark-Balzan is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning at Oxa since May 2022. Previously, as a Data Scientist at Boeing from September 2017 to April 2022, Laine developed deep learning algorithms for telemetry analysis, automated infrastructure inspection, and built automated data analysis pipelines. Prior experience includes serving as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Research Fellow at the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Freiburg, focusing on automatic data analysis and luminescence emissions characterization. Laine also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Geochronology at the University of Oxford, where archaeological and palaeoenvironmental samples were analyzed for chronological data. Laine holds a PhD and an MS in Archaeological Science from the University of Oxford and a BA in Physics from Princeton University.
