Laine Clark-Balzan

Laine Clark-Balzan is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning at Oxa since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in data science from a previous role at Boeing, where responsibilities included embedding deep learning in algorithms and developing advanced capabilities for telemetry analysis and anomaly detection. Prior to Boeing, Laine served as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Research Fellow at the University of Freiburg, focusing on data analysis in the field of environmental sciences, and held a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Geochronology at the University of Oxford, conducting archaeological site sampling and luminescence age determination. Laine holds a PhD in Archaeological Science and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford, along with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Princeton University.
