Karen O. has extensive experience in financial management and control. Karen started their career in 1993 as a Business Manager at Crannog Film and TV and worked there until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they served as a Financial Controller at IWL. In 2007, they joined Jetstar Airways as a Revenue Accounting Manager and worked there until 2011. From 2011 to 2014, Karen was the Financial Controller at Hooroo Pty Ltd, where they established and managed the finance function. Karen then moved on to Uecomm as a Finance Manager, overseeing revenue budgets and ensuring accurate billing production, from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they became the Commercial Finance Manager at Uecomm Optus, leading a new commercial function and managing sales contracts. Karen joined VicTrack as the GM Finance and Commercial for the Telecommunications Group and worked there from 2016 to 2018. Following that, they served as the Financial Controller at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for financial management and reporting. Most recently, Karen O. has been the Financial Controller at Neami National since 2020. Karen is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Oxfam Australia, a position they have held since 2023.
