Emma Whiteley

Senior Scientist I at Oxford BioMedica

Emma Whiteley is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in neuroscience and stem cell research. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist I at Oxford Biomedica since October 2018, Emma has progressed through multiple titles, demonstrating a strong operational expertise. Prior to this role, Emma gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford, contributing to pioneering work on iPSC-derived cortical neurons under Professor Colin Akerman, and successfully securing funding through PhD studentship grant applications. Emma previously held the position of Research Intern in Professor Richard Wade-Martins' laboratory, focusing on Parkinson's disease models. Emma holds a Doctor of Philosophy - DPhil in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Birmingham.
