Computational Biologist at Oxford Gene Technology

Matthew Gordon is a Computational Biologist currently part of the Data Analysis team at OGT since December 2021, focusing on computational analysis for novel NGS projects, including leadership in RNA-Seq and support for DNA-Seq projects. Prior experience includes a role as a Computational Biology Analyst at King's College London, where re-analysis of scRNAseq datasets involved implementing batch correction and doublet detection techniques. Earlier positions include a Junior Technician at Novo Nordisk, where Matthew cultured multiple adherent mammalian cell lines, and a Laboratory Assistant at Adaptimmune, involved in the production of genetically-altered Lentivirus. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham. Additional experience includes roles in leisure services at Places for People Leisure and Testbourne Community School.
