Oxford Ionics
Amy Hughes is a Quantum Scientist at Oxford Ionics since July 2021. Previously, Amy served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford from July 2021 to March 2022 and as a PhD Researcher from October 2016 to April 2021, focusing on Benchmarking Memory and Logic Gates for Trapped-Ion Quantum Computing. In addition, Amy was an Opportunity Programme Tutor in Physics and a Graduate Teaching and Research Scholar in Physics at University College and Oriel College, Oxford, respectively, from 2017 to 2019. Prior to these roles, Amy gained experience as a Student Researcher at the National Physical Laboratory in 2015. Amy completed a DPhil in Quantum Computing at the University of Oxford and obtained an Undergraduate Master’s Degree in Physics from the same institution.
