Adrien Leger

Director Of Modified Bases Research at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Adrien Leger has extensive work experience in the field of life sciences. Adrien is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI from May 2016 to March 2021. During their time at EMBL-EBI, they focused on developing innovative methods to detect RNA modifications using Nanopore sequencing. Adrien also served as a Junior Team Leader at INSERM U1089 from 2012 to 2015, where they contributed to the pharmacogenomics of viral vectors for gene therapy and investigated AAV vector biology.

Adrien Leger's education history begins in 2003 when they earned their Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from Université d'Orléans. Adrien then pursued further studies at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI), where they obtained their Master's degree in Molecular Biology from 2006 to 2008. Following this, Adrien attended Nantes Université and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Gene/Genetic Therapy from 2008 to 2012. In 2013 to 2014, they returned to Nantes Université to pursue another Master's degree, this time in Bioinformatics.
