Claire Ferrão

Claire Ferrão has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Claire is currently working as a Design Control Manager at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a QA Specialist at Vatic from November 2021 to October 2022. From July 2020 to November 2021, they served as a Senior Quality Assurance Officer at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Claire also worked as a Senior Development Scientist at Sharp Life Science (EU) Limited from March 2018 to May 2020. Claire has experience as a Senior Assay Scientist at Enigma Diagnostics from June 2015 to February 2017. Before that, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Atlas Genetics from October 2011 to June 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree specializing in Immunology and Immunogenetics at The University of Manchester, where they studied from 2004 to 2005. Continuing their academic journey, Claire then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from The University of Manchester, which they completed from 2005 to 2008.
