Danielle Folkard

Danielle Folkard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Postgraduate Student at the Institute of Food Research until 2014. In 2012, they also served as a Visiting PhD student at The University of Auckland for a few months.

From 2014 to 2018, Danielle worked at Horizon Discovery. Danielle started as a Customer Service and Technical Support Specialist and then became the Head of Customer Service. Finally, they took on the role of Product Manager.

In 2018, Danielle joined QIAGEN as a Market Development Manager and stayed until 2019.

Currently, they are employed at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. Danielle started as a Strategic Account Manager for the UK and Ireland, and then became a Senior Strategic Account Manager. Danielle later served as a Field Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland and is currently working as the Sales Director for EMEA North.

Danielle Folkard obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Danielle then pursued higher education by attending the Institute of Food Research from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
