Joe Whittaker

Joe Whittaker has a strong background in the field of marketing, particularly in the life sciences and healthcare industry. Joe currently works as an Associate Director of Global Product Marketing at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where they are responsible for the global product marketing of long-read sequencers and devices. Prior to this, Joe held senior managerial positions at Illumina, where they played a key role in creating demand for Next Generation Sequencing in various markets such as infectious diseases, reproductive health, genetic disease testing, and oncology testing. Joe also had responsibilities for strategic marketing, product launches, and demand generation in the clinical oncology division. Before joining Illumina, Joe worked at Horizon Discovery as a Global Diagnostics Marketing Specialist. In this role, they managed the marketing mix for a diverse product range and achieved significant revenue growth. Joe also had experience in market research, messaging, sales support, and content generation. Joe's earlier career includes a role as an Account Manager at Pharma Mix and a Sales and Marketing Trainee at Bayer.

Joe Whittaker completed their education at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2019 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, they attended CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a Professional Certificate in Marketing.
