Marcin Rybakowski

Marcin Rybakowski has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Marcin started their career as a Fireman in the Fire Service Unit in Poland from September 2005 to December 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Production Engineer at Cable 4 Wireless from January to October.

From November 2008 to March 2010, Marcin worked as a CS&L/Lab Support Analyst at Thames Water, where they followed ISO standards and participated in yearly UKAS audits. Marcin then transitioned to the role of Inorganic Chemistry Analyst from March 2010 to January 2013, performing various complex analyses and working towards ISO 17025 standards. From January 2013 to February 2014, they served as an Organic Chemistry Analyst, conducting complex organic chemistry analysis activities and participating in audits.

In 2014, Marcin joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd as a Platform QC Sequencing & Validation Scientist, responsible for performing DNA sequencing testing, validating components, and preparing DNA libraries. Marcin held this position until July 2015. Marcin then took on the role of Biologics QC Scientist from February 2014 to December 2018, conducting batch release testing and coordinating external QC. From December 2018 onward, they were promoted to the position of Biologics QC Development Lead, where they held end-to-end project management responsibility for new analytical method transfers. This role also involved leading initial method scouting to assess viability and coordinating multiple method transfers simultaneously.

Marcin Rybakowski attended The Open University from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Science. Marcin'sdegree was accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry, and they specialized in Molecular Biology. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2005, Marcin attended a High School in Poznan, Poland, although no degree or specific field of study is mentioned for this period.
