Stefan Schwenk

Principal Development Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Stefan Schwenk has extensive work experience in the scientific and research field. Stefan started their career at UCL in 2013 as a Research Assistant, working on a project focused on developing a rapid diagnostic for lower respiratory tract infections. Stefan then worked as a Researcher PhD Candidate, conducting research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and identifying a regulatory RNA called a riboswitch involved in the resuscitation process. In 2018, Stefan joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies, first as an Application Scientist and then as a Senior Applications Scientist. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Development Scientist at the company.

Stefan Schwenk attended UCL from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued an MSci degree in Biology/Biological Sciences.
