Karim Bensaad

Karim Bensaad is an Associate Medical Writer at Oxford PharmaGenesis since August 2021, following a prominent academic and research career. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine from June 2009 to July 2021, where research focused on cancer metabolism under hypoxic conditions, guided by Professor Adrian Harris. Previously, Karim served as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute from February 2003 to May 2009, studying the tumor suppressor p53 and the protein TIGAR, a p53-inducible regulator of glycolysis and apoptosis, under Professor Karen Vousden. Karim holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Oncogenesis and an M.Phil. in Molecular Genetics, both from Université Paris Cité.
