Marcelo Bravo has a diverse and successful work experience spanning several industries. Marcelo is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OXVax Ltd, a biotechnology spinoff from the University of Oxford focused on developing a next-generation dendritic cell cancer vaccine. Prior to this, Marcelo founded Oxford Pharmascience Ltd, a pharmaceutical technology company where they served as the Executive Chairman and Founder. Marcelo played a key role in developing and commercializing a unique drug delivery system called OXPZero™, raising the company's valuation from £75k to over £100m and taking it public on the AIM market.

Before Oxford Pharmascience Ltd, Marcelo was the Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at Oxford Advanced Surfaces Group Plc, where they helped build the company from an academic lab to an established SME. During their tenure, they secured partnerships with major corporations globally in various industries.

Marcelo also founded Super Foods Limited, a company focused on developing and commercializing better forms of calcium supplements. Marcelo successfully launched their product in well-known retailers and via distributors in multiple countries.

Earlier in their career, Marcelo worked at The Boots Company PLC, where they were involved in corporate development, strategy, and investment management for international and emerging businesses. Marcelo also spent a significant portion of their career at Procter & Gamble, working in research and development and holding leadership positions. During this time, they managed the Latin America Technology Organization and led the introduction of global brands in the region.

Marcelo Bravo began their education at The College of Wooster from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Chemistry. Following this, they attended Case Western Reserve University from 1981 to 1983, obtaining a BsE degree in Chemical Engineering. Marcelo then pursued a Sloan Fellowship - MSc in Management at the London Business School from 1999 to 2000. Finally, Marcelo completed their education at the University of Oxford from 2016 to 2019, attaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Experimental and Translational Therapeutics.
