Mariah Barber, MSCJPS has a diverse background in safety and security, starting as a File Clerk at Efron & Efron, P.C. in 2013. Mariah then served as an Intern at the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, gaining experience in domestic violence and community prosecution. Mariah also worked as a JAGversity Peer Educator at IUPUI Multicultural Center, promoting multiculturalism and diversity. Mariah furthered their experience at Indiana University as an Emergency Management & Business Continuity Intern. Most recently, Mariah held roles at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, Allied Universal, and Pacers Sports & Entertainment, specializing in event crowd management, safety, and security.
Mariah Barber earned their Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Management from Indiana University Indianapolis in 2012-2016. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Accelerated Master's of Science in Criminal Justice and Public Safety from the same institution in 2015-2017. Additionally, Mariah obtained various certifications in areas such as Venue Management, Forklift Operation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, Severe Weather Planning and Preparedness, and CPR/AED/First Aid between 2018 and 2021.
