Rustom Birdie

Rustom Birdie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Rustom started their career at L.E.K. Consulting as an Associate, where they worked from September 2012 to April 2015. Rustom then joined Virgin America as a Senior Product Manager in April 2015 and worked there until April 2017.

After Virgin America, Rustom joined Affirm, where they had multiple roles including Senior Lead, Growth & New Markets; Manager, Growth & New Markets; Category Manager - Travel & Experiences; and Senior Manager, Enterprise Sales, during their tenure from April 2017 to August 2020. At Affirm, they signed major clients such as Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, exceeded their sales quota, and was responsible for managing the travel business unit.

Rustom also gained experience in the venture capital industry through internships at i2i Ventures and NFX. At i2i Ventures, they worked as an MBA Intern - Venture Fellow from May 2021 to August 2021, assisting with deal flow and due diligence. At NFX, they worked as an MBA Intern - Venture Fellow from December 2020 to June 2022, where they generated deal flow, completed due diligence, and supported the investment committee.

Additionally, Rustom has had internships at Kyte and Amazon. At Kyte, they worked as an MBA Intern as part of Stanford's MBA program for a month in August 2021. At Amazon, they worked as an MBA Intern - Senior Product Manager for two months from June 2021 to August 2021.

Most recently, Rustom joined Pachama in August 2022 as an Enterprise Sales professional. Overall, Rustom Birdie has a strong background in sales, product management, and venture capital, showcasing their diverse skill set and experience in the business and technology sectors.

Rustom Birdie started their education at Karachi Grammar School, where they obtained their high school diploma in 2008. During this time, they studied A levels in Biology, Physics, Advanced Mathematics, and Economics. Following their graduation, they enrolled at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Sciences in Human Biology & Society from 2008 to 2012. In 2020, Rustom began their graduate studies at Stanford University, earning a Master of Science degree in Energy and Environment [incomplete]. In the same year, they also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, completing their studies in 2022.
