Craig Fishman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Craig started their career as a Research Associate at the Center for Genetic Medicine in 2001. Craig then worked as a Research Associate at Immune Control Inc. from 2004 to 2007. In 2006, they joined Qiagen Inc. as a Scientist II.
In 2008, Fishman joined Illumina as a Senior Field Application Scientist and later became a Manager, Field Applications in 2013. During their time at Illumina, they led a team of application scientists and implemented strategies to increase revenues and support for Illumina's products. In 2015, they moved to Coriell Institute for Medical Research as the Director of Strategic Alliances, where they led strategic planning efforts and managed business operations.
Fishman joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2017 as the North America Sales and Business Development Manager for the Digital Science Division. Craig successfully increased sales by 12% and implemented a subscription sales strategy.
In 2018, they returned to Illumina as the AMR NorthEast - Benchtop Sales Manager and later became the District Sales Manager for the New England region. In these roles, they led sales teams, drove revenue growth, and developed strategies to grow the genomics business.
Since 2023, Fishman has been working at PacBio as an Associate Director Market Development.
Craig Fishman completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College in 2001. Craig then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Molecular Cell Biology & Genetics from Drexel University College of Medicine from 2004 to 2007. Later, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Innovation and Strategic Planning from the University of Massachusetts from 2012 to 2015.
