Govert Franken

Govert Franken has a long and extensive work experience that includes various roles in multiple companies. Govert started their career at Capgemini in 1984, where they worked as a Manager & SAP Consultant until 1995. During this time, they also had specific roles such as SAP Training Lead for a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer in the Netherlands and France and Solution Architect & Systems Design for a Ship Builder & Industrial Equipment Manufacturer.

In 1995, Franken joined Deloitte Consulting as a SAP Senior Manager and worked there until 2007. Govert was involved in several projects, including a business transformation engagement for a Global Strategic Client in the high-tech industry and a global SAP implementation program for a Petroleum and Chemicals Company.

After leaving Deloitte, Franken worked at HCL AXON as a SAP Solution Architect and SAP Solution Architect & Integration Manager. Govert played key roles in projects for various clients, including Sales, Manufacturing, and Service of Consumer Electronics and a Fuels Distributor & Services Company.

Franken then moved to IBM in 2012 as an Associate Partner SAP Practice. Govert was responsible for implementing a best practice based SAP system in the manufacturing industry for a client called AO Smith.

Later, they returned to HCL AXON as an SAP Solution Architect & Integration Manager, where they worked on projects for clients in the High-Tech industry and the Oil Field Services industry.

Most recently, Franken worked at Pacific Biosciences as the Director of IT, Business Solution Architecture.

Govert Franken completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Breda University of Applied Sciences from 1985 to 1989. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1980 to 1984. Govert Franken also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
