Takafumi Kobayashi

Takafumi Kobayashi currently holds the position of Scientific Affairs Manager at PacBio since April 2022, specializing in new product launches and customer updates on scientific publications related to PacBio systems. Prior experience includes a decade at Illumina, where Takafumi served in various roles including Senior Applied Genomics Specialist, focusing on sales within applied genomics markets and conducting pre- and post-sales support for NGS applications. Takafumi's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Life Sciences from Kyoto University, coupled with postdoctoral research at Tokyo Institute of Technology and the National Institute for Basic Biology, as well as a Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship at the University of Birmingham.
