Matthew Courser

Matthew Courser is a seasoned research professional currently serving as Principal at Courser Consulting Group, LLC, since January 2024, and as Senior Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) since September 2014. With extensive experience in project management, grant proposal development, and the design and implementation of research studies, Matthew has effectively led multidisciplinary project teams, managed various offices, and developed measurement tools across multiple roles at PIRE. Previous positions include Research Scientist at NORC and Associate Research Scientist at PIRE, alongside early career experience as a Project Manager at The Ohio State University. Matthew earned a Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus on Survey Research from The Ohio State University and a B.A. in Political Science from Albion College.
