Sharon O'Hara Drph

Associate Research Scientist at PACIFIC INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH AND EVALUATION

Sharon O'Hara, DrPH, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Touro University California and an Associate Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, both positions held since August and June 2023, respectively. As a core faculty member in the Doctor of Public Health Program and a lecturer in the Online-On Campus Master of Public Health Program at the University of California, Berkeley since July 2018, Sharon O'Hara contributes significantly to academic instruction. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Scholar and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, focusing on public engagement and the ethical implications of innovative health technologies such as CRISPR. Sharon O'Hara also directed the Center for Community Action & Training (CCAT) from 2001 to 2016. Academic credentials include a Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, obtained in 2018 and 2015, respectively.
