Auroop Ganguly

Auroop Ganguly is a Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Professor (by courtesy) of Computer & Information Science and Marine & Environmental Science at Northeastern University since August 2011. Research interests include Water & Climate Science, Data & Network Science, and Infrastructural Resilience. Auroop serves as Chief Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, focusing on advanced computing and data within the US Department of Energy. As Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Adviser at risQ, Inc., Auroop specializes in climate risk management and infrastructure resilience. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Joint Faculty at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Auroop holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and degrees from The University of Toledo and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
