Lauren Shanahan

Executive Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations at PACIFIC RIDGE SCHOOL

Lauren Shanahan has 24 years in non-profit advocacy, the last 10 years leading philanthropy efforts for independent schools. In her career tenure, she has played an instrumental role in raising approximately $50 million for private schools, including a successful $22 million capital campaign at her previous school. Prior to her philanthropy work in the education sector, she was the Executive Director of the Imperial County Farm Bureau and Imperial Valley Vegetable Association, where she assisted farmers on issues such the water transfer between Imperial Valley and San Diego. Ms. Shanahan has a B.S. in Agriculture Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She served as the first female president of the California Plant Heath Association and is an alumna of the California Agricultural Leadership Program. She has two young adult children and enjoys travel, reading, and cooking.
