Carla Espinoza Ruiz

Carla Espinoza Ruiz has a diverse work experience in the aquaculture industry. Carla is currently working as the Fish Health & Quality Director at Pacifico Aquaculture, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Fish Health Manager at Avramar from March 2021 to January 2023. Before that, they worked as Jefe de Salud Melinka at Empresas AquaChile from September 2017 to January 2021. Carla also gained experience as a Veterinarian at Ventisqueros S.A. from April 2014 to September 2017. Carla started their career as an Assistant at EWOS in July 2012 and later worked as a researcher and intern at various organizations including EWOS, Instituto de Bioquímica y Microbiología, Universidad Austral de Chile, Fundación Chile, and Clínica y Farmacia Veterinaria Sanatorio Animal. Overall, Carla has a strong background in fish health and veterinary medicine in the aquaculture sector.

Carla Espinoza Ruiz completed their undergraduate education at Universidad de Concepción from 2006 to 2012, where they earned a degree in Veterinary Sciences/Veterinary Clinical Sciences, specializing in General Veterinary Sciences. In 2017, they attended Universidad de Chile, where they completed a Diploma in Buenas Prácticas en el uso de Fármacos en la Salmonicultura (Good Practices in the Use of Pharmaceuticals in Salmon Farming). In 2018, they pursued further education at Universidad Católica de Temuco, where they completed a Diploma focused on LA CALIGIDOSIS EN CENTROS DE CULTIVO DE SALMÓNIDOS: UNA PARASITOSIS EN VIAS DE CONTROL (Caligus infestation in Salmon Farming Centers: a parasitic disease under control).
