Alec Deng

Alec Deng is currently a UI/UX designer at Padlet. Prior to joining Padlet, Alec was an intern at Kona Data, where they designed workflows around a product to merge data from multiple software sources. Alec also sourced and interviewed candidates in the user space to make informed product decisions, and created and iterated on user flow mockups that leveraged the power of AI to reduce user input.

Before joining Kona Data, Alec was an intern at Cytek Biosciences, where they completed design cycles from concepts to fully validated production designs. Alec also developed and fabricated functional prototypes and test methods to vet out new concepts, and used CAD to explore functional and visual design changes to the company’s emerging product line.

Alec has also held internships at drive.ai and YAYOI, where they worked as a hardware intern and server, respectively. Alec began their professional career as a barista at Gong Cha USA - CALIFORNIA.

Alec Deng studied product design as an undergraduate at Stanford University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
