Gideon Abate

Gideon Abate has extensive work experience in roles related to product management, project management, and analysis. Gideon most recently served as the Head of Product at Paga Group Ltd, where they were responsible for overseeing the full suite of Paga's products and played a key role in defining and growing the Product Management function. Prior to that, they worked as a Managing Partner at Apposit LLC, where they managed various client and internal products focusing on digitizing payments and processes in the agricultural sector in Ethiopia. Gideon also has experience as a Project Manager at Metia and an IT Project Manager at Right To Play. Gideon started their career as a System Analyst and Business Analyst at Allegra Strategies Ltd. Throughout their career, Gideon has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

Gideon Abate began their education journey in 1998 at UWC Atlantic College, where they pursued an International Baccalaureate (IB) degree. From 2001 to 2004, they attended the University of Warwick, majoring in Computer Science and Business Studies, earning a Bachelor of Science (BCs) degree. In 2005, Gideon pursued further education at City, University of London, where they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Systems Analysis and Design in 2006.
