Rachel Leonard MSW, MA is an accomplished educator and author with extensive experience in teaching and writing. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor and Concurrent English Teacher at Kansas City Kansas Community College, Rachel focuses on developing students' writing skills. As a board member of KCK-KNEA, Rachel represents ethnic minorities, advocating for educational equity. At Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, Rachel teaches high school students in an engaging manner, fostering critical thinking and intentional writing. Rachel is also an author of the allegory "P: Poverty, Prison, Positive," available online. Previous roles include grant writing consultancy for Youth Ambassadors, Inc., and various positions in communication and accounting where Rachel demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills. Rachel's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Kansas, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pittsburg State University, a Master’s Degree in Professional Writing from New York University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
