Aaron Markell

Aaron Markell has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Aaron started their career in 1995 as a Tech Control/Communications-Computer Systems Specialist/InfoSec Engineer in the USAF, where they obtained a Top Secret SCI/SCI security clearance and handled sensitive information. Aaron then worked as an InfoSec Consultant/Technical Trainer at CastleGarde in 2001. In the same year, they joined FedEx Services as a Senior Information Security Engineer, where they worked until 2013. During their time at FedEx, they played a crucial role in network security and troubleshooting. Aaron then worked as a Manager - Advanced Gaming Operations at Cadillac Jack in 2013, where they restarted a major migration effort and resolved network outages. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Senior Manager/Information Security Architect/ISO at the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, providing leadership and strategic direction for information security at the Tampa International Airport. In 2017, they worked as a Senior Information Security Engineer at Tekk Fusion, where they implemented an anti-phishing and security awareness program. Aaron also worked as an Information Security Architect at PODS from 2017 to 2019, where they were a key member of the Enterprise Risk/Cyber Committee and assessed the enterprise-wide information security. In 2019, they joined SHI International Corp. as an Information Security Architect. Currently, they are working as the Director - Security Operations at Pagoda, starting in 2023.
