Alvaro Fernandez-Baca

Alvaro Fernandez-Baca is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in exploration and project management across various countries. Currently serving as Vice President of Exploration at Palamina Corp. since April 2024, Alvaro also holds the position of Chief Geologist at Barracuda Exploraciones, leading a Peruvian consulting firm focused on managing global exploration projects and consulting for listed companies in Europe. Previous roles include Vice President of Exploration at Tinka Resources, Exploration Manager at Hochschild Mining, and VP Exploration at AQM Copper, where Alvaro successfully advanced significant projects in Peru. Alvaro's career began as a geological consultant after earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology from The University of Edinburgh.
