Charlie Kindermann

Charlie Kindermann is the Lead for Government Contracts at Palantir. Before joining Palantir, Charlie was the Procurement Metals Manager at the United States Mint from February 2016 to November 2016. In this role, Charlie was the focal point of contact for all United States Mint base and precious metal related contracts. Charlie developed and maintained the supply chain for all United States Mint metal requirements and managed commodity market risk by implementing specific purchasing strategies.

From June 2012 to February 2016, Charlie was a Contracting Officer at the F-35 Joint Program Office. In this role, they managed a team of contract specialists to negotiate and administer contracts for the success of the F-35 Lightning II program. Charlie developed contracting strategies that contribute to successful program performance in total ownership cost, schedule and risk; researched, communicated and implemented policies and procedures affecting the acquisition process; and regularly provided statuses to Senior Executives and the Program Executive Officer (3-Star General). Charlie also identified acquisition process inefficiencies to meet major milestones for program set schedules, reviewed contract documents for compliance with Federal and Department of Defense Regulations, analyzed manufacturing practices and sourcing decisions made by defense contractors to obtain best practice results, facilitated on-going communication with the prime contractor and subcontractors to assess risks to the production process, provided on-the-job training and mentoring for contract specialists and interns, and was a member of the interview panel to recruit and hire new employees for the development of the workforce within the organization.

Charlie Kindermann has an MBA from the University of Kentucky in New Product Development, Supply Chain Management, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Charlie also has a BS in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. Charlie is certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Federal Acquisition Institute Level III - Contracting.
