Jennifer Wassenaar

Jennifer Wassenaar grew up in Farmington, Missouri, where her love of music was cultivated. She graduated summa cum laude from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with an instrumental emphasis. She taught in southeast Missouri as the assistant band director in the Ste. Genevieve and Potosi school districts, as well as the head director at Crystal City. Jennifer maintained a private flute studio and served as a clinician for area schools. She joined the Palen Music Center team in November 2014 shortly after moving to Joplin. The most satisfying part of her job is being able to serve directors and students.
