Arne Handal

Arne Handal has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Arne is currently working at PALFINGER MARINE as the Head of Global Marine Engineering and previously served as the Strategy Supporting Officer in the same company. Prior to that, they had a self-employment role at Handal Consulting Services from 2020 to 2022. Arne also served as the CEO of Arctic Circle Data Center from 2018 to 2019, where they achieved significant revenue growth. Arne Handal gained project management and business development experience at DNV GL from 2011 to 2018, specifically in the areas of digital transformation and change management. Arne also worked as a researcher and PhD candidate at NTNU, specializing in advanced drilling technology and multiphase flow modeling. Earlier in their career, Arne Handal worked as a Drilling Engineer at Ocean Riser Systems AS and as a Research Candidate at Statoil. Arne gained hands-on experience in the offshore industry as a Rigger and Roughneck at Odfjell Drilling.

Arne Handal has a strong educational background in mathematics and engineering. In 2005, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bergen. Continuing their academic pursuits, Handal obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oslo in 2008.

With a keen interest in petroleum engineering, Handal pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology between 2008 and 2011.
