Tori Lewis

Head U10 Coach at Palisades Tahoe

Tori Lewis has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as the Head U10 Coach at Palisades Tahoe since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Wilderness Inquiry for two years, serving as a Trail Guide/Outdoor Educator. In this role, they led trips, facilitated programs for students, ensured participant safety, and acted as a lead medic. Tori also interned at Wilderness Inquiry for a brief period in 2014. Before that, Tori was an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Macalester College from November 2012 to December 2013. Their earliest work experience was as a Camp Counselor at Girl Scouts of Western Washington in the summer of 2012.

Tori Lewis attended Macalester College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and American Studies. In 2014, they also participated in the Outdoor Educator Semester program at NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) for a brief period to study Outdoor Education. Tori Lewis has additional certifications including being a Lifeguard through the American Red Cross, obtaining a Recreational Level 1 Avalanche certification from NOLS, Wilderness EMT certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), EMT certification from NREMT, BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification from the American Red Cross, and a Leave No Trace Master Educator certification from the Leave No Trace Center For Outdoor Ethics. The specific months and years for the obtained certifications are provided except for the Leave No Trace Master Educator certification.
