Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith has extensive experience in the film and events industry, currently serving as the Area Director for Venues at Encore since January 2008. Ryan also holds positions as a Projectionist at the True/False Documentary Film Festival and Lead Projectionist at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, both since 2014 and 2007, respectively. As Chief Projectionist at the Telluride Film Festival and Film Festival Projectionist and Booth Manager at the Denver Film Society, Ryan has been actively involved in the film festival circuit since 2000. Previous roles include Projectionist for the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival and Projection Booth Manager at Cinemark. Ryan began a career in film at Regal Entertainment Group and served multiple roles at the Hawaii International Film Festival. Ryan holds a BS in Nuclear Physics with a minor in Film Studies from the University of Colorado Denver.
