Chris Smith

Chris Smith is an experienced professional with a strong background in environmental management and conservation. Currently serving as Deputy Chair for both Sustainable Whanganui and the Taranaki Whanganui Conservation Board since June 2021 and June 2022 respectively, Chris also holds the role of Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery Facility Manager and Strategic Facilities Manager at Palmerston North City Council since September 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Business Manager at Briscoe Group from October 2014 to September 2018. Chris completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise in Sports Studies at Massey University between 2017 and 2019.
