Gad Akuka

Gad Akuka is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Engineering for Data Security and AI Security at Palo Alto Networks since December 2023. Previously, Gad was the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Dig Security, a cloud data security firm acquired by Palo Alto Networks. Gad also held the role of Chief Scientist and Director of Engineering at Mimecast following its acquisition of Segasec, a cybersecurity startup where Gad was also CTO and Co-Founder. Gad's early career included positions as a Senior Software Developer at SAP and the Israeli Air Force, alongside entrepreneurial ventures such as founding Eventido and co-founding Serv-IL. Gad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies and is a graduate of the Mamram Academy for Computer Professions.
