Cynthia Loleng - Perez

Cynthia Loleng-Perez is a seasoned professional in special education, currently serving as the Director of Special Education for the Palo Alto Unified School District since July 2019. Cynthia has held various leadership roles, including Manager of Special Education Programs at the Santa Clara County Office of Education and Director of Special Education at both the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and Mountain View Whisman School District. Prior experience includes serving as Compliance Officer for the Hayward Unified School District and Principal at STARS High, NPS. Cynthia began their career as a Recreation Therapist and Special Education teacher at Agnews Developmental Center. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Special Education and Education Administration from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from California State University-Sacramento.
