Maria Angulo's work experience includes serving as the Director General of Services Operations at the Pan American Health Organization since 2016. In this role, they oversee logistics, infrastructure, conference coordination, travel, facilities management, real estate, and contract management. Maria also prepares and implements the organization's general services operations budget and manages the capital investment plan and fund.
Before joining the Pan American Health Organization, Maria worked as the Chief of Administration at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) from 2007 to 2016. In this position, they were responsible for all administrative operations of the sub-regional office in Mexico. This encompassed finance, budgeting, human resources, procurement, information technology, and general services.
Prior to ECLAC, Maria served as a Finance Officer for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs from 2002 to 2007. Their responsibilities included financial and budget management for both headquarters and field operations.
Maria Angulo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado from 1985 to 1991. Maria then pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Public Affairs at INCAE Business School from 1991 to 1993.
