Sanjay Malkhani began their work experience in 1978 as an executive chef at The Oberoi hotels. Sanjay held this role until 1995. In 1997, they joined Kamat Hotels India Ltd as the Vice President of Food & Beverage, a position they held until 2006. During this time, they also worked at kamathotels/concepthospitality as the Vice President from 1997 to 2006. In 2006, they became the Head of Operations at panindia food solutions and later became the Chief Operating Officer at Pan India Food Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in 2015. In 2015, they started working as an Independent Consultant.
Sanjay Malkhani attended St. Joseph's Collage Nainital from 1965 to 1973, where they completed their ISC degree. Sanjay then enrolled at the University of Lucknow from 1975 to 1977, earning a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. Following this, they attended the Oberoi School of Hotel Management from 1978 to 1981 and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management.
