Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy has been working in the tech industry since 2021. Sean is currently a Ruby on Rails Developer for Pandia Health, a Website Developer for Code for America, and a Web Developer for Kon Jo Karate Club. Sean is developing a web app that allows Kon Jo Karate Club to bill parents online for their student's after school karate lessons and is integrating with payment processor Square. Prior to 2021, they were a Web Developer for Flatiron School, where they helped users plan a trip to the airport, created a login system, and integrated with the Mapquest API and AeroDataBox RapidAPI. Sean was also a Web Designer for Flatiron School, where they converted handwritten instructions and formulas from the game manual into Javascript code and constructed a Rails backend where data persists. Additionally, they were a Web Developer for the Covid Dining App, where they made use of OmniAuth to allow Facebook login and integrated the bcrypt gem in order to store passwords in the proper, encrypted fashion. Before that, they were a Chauffeur for UNITED LIMOUSINE AND SEDAN SERVICE INC from 2018-2020 and a Driver for Uber from 2016-2018.

Sean Murphy attended Flatiron School from 2019 to 2020 and graduated with a degree in Computer Software Engineering.
