Alan Salton

Alan is an experienced professional with a 30-year history of working in the computer software industry, primarily with ERP-based solutions. Alan holds a master’s degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and a certification in Business Process Reengineering.

Currently, Alan is responsible for leading the innovation of business models, business processes, and technology strategy at Panorama. He is responsible for establishing innovation initiatives across the practice and is leading the implementation of an open innovation strategy to develop networks and partnerships with start-ups, industry analysts, academics, technology influencers, and venture capital partners.

Prior to joining the Panorama executive team, Alan was Chief Innovation Officer with ABAS Software AG. His responsibilities included driving innovation and development for a diverse product portfolio, services, and processes to create value for customers competing in an increasingly digital environment. His focus was on integrating AI into ERP, serverless computing, business analytics, cognitive applications and IoT.

Alan was also President of abas-USA, a value-added reseller and implementer of abas ERP software. He managed all facets of the business, improved internal processes and developed sales and marketing strategies. Alan also directed a product development team with an emphasis on cloud technologies, business process management software, web portals, and mobile applications.
